- Internationally recognised Certificate in:
Equine Sports Massage
Equine Sports Massage Therapy is the therapeutic application of hands-on deep tissue techniques to the voluntary muscle system - for the purpose of increasing circulation, reducing muscle spasms, relieving tension, enhancing muscle tone, promoting healing and increasing range of motion in all breeds of horses.
- Internationally recognised Certificate in:
Tissue Mobilisation Techniques for Horses
Tissue mobilisation involves the application of manual techniques such as pressure, compression, bending, longitudinal gliding, cross fibre work, kneading, stretching and rolling the tissues - the purpose of which is to stretch and release the soft tissue of the body.
-
An Internationally recognised Certificate in:
Photonic Therapy for Horses
Photonic Therapy involves the application of light to the skin in a safe, natural, non-invasive way to promote healing and control pain and much much more. Photonic therapy works because the body’s tissue can absorb this type of light at a cellular level, converting it to cellular energy (known as ATP)
- Certified Saddle Fitting practitioner
Horses with ill-fitting saddles often have no choice, and they may communicate this discomfort by bucking, biting, kicking, rearing or through other more subtle mood changes. In serious cases an ill-fitting saddle can shear off the soft cartilage at the top of the scapula, or cause important back muscles to atrophy.
Our therapists can check your current saddle against the shape of your horse’s back and shoulders, using an in depth knowledge of anatomy.
Our practitioners are readily available throughout Tasmania for bookings.
For interstate clients please check the Practitioner Consult Calendar to check when next visiting your location, and book for this date for a consultation therapy session. All clients are guided by the practitioner to provide ongoing home therapy for their own horses between visits or as required to maintain their horse/s health and wellbeing.
